| I know it's been a while since my last post. I apologize to all my friends and lurkers out there, I will try and post more soon. Things have been going really well for Lydia and I. We are the proud parents of Kennedy Grace, she was born on 7-3-07. We are truly blessed to have a healthy baby. Lydia is doing a great job of being a mother. Getting up at all hours of the night to feed her and change her...It isn't easy. It's been hard on me this week having to be away from them. They both went down with Jessica and the boys to visit their parents for a week. But I know they're in good hands. Since my last post quite a bit has changed. For one I have a new job! I work at Central Bank in the loan department in Jefferson City. I am really liking my job, the atmoshere is great! And of course the banking hours are awesome too. It's kind of an entry level position so i'm hoping It'll lead to other things, in the fullness of time. Kennedy looking up at her strange daddy!
My beautiful wife and daughter in the hospital room.
My sister Dannielle and her daughter Avery holding the "bebe"
And my nephew Levi...if you look closely you will notice the original Transformer Optimus Prime. Yep, things have definitely changed here at the Miller house. It's good to have Lydia staying at home and caring for Kennedy. Later!!
| Pluto...Pluto.... where have you gone?
So when I went to bed last night there were nine planets. But when I woke up this morning I find out there are only eight planets. What am I gonna tell my children...oh, yeah, I don't have any children. I'm just a little shocked that the spaceboard people decided that Pluto wasn't big enough to be consdered a planet. For those of you worried I don't think this will change the disney character.
.
Well, the summer has gone by pretty quick here for me. Looking back we got several things accomplished, but yet, left many things undone. Like taking a vacation. It's not truly summer until you can actually go on a trip. I guess that leaves us more money for when we do take a trip. Yeah, that's it.
For those of you still wondering about my current job situation. Since my last post I found out that I did not get the job in Springfield. So we will be staying here in Columbia. And that's okay with us. Yeah, the lady told me that she didn't think I had enough manager experience with more that 10 people. It was a job I really wanted, but I realize that it wasn't meant to be at this time. Something might come up around here that will be better for Lydia and I. So that's what we're praying about. I know she gets frustrated, to say the least, with her job. There are certain situations that come up that stress her out, and rightly so.
Until my next post Rock on!!!

| Well today was my day off so i figure I'd update and get stuff done. Lydia's hard drive went out so she's been using my computer...but anyway I just installed the new one on hers and it looks like it's working.
Yeah, I had a great time in Lebanon...wish I could have been there for the last day but, alas, I had to work monday. It was good seeing all the wonderful members again...some new faces as usual always a good thing. There were quite a few I saw in the audience but never actually got to talk to...I guess we'll have to wait for another meeting.
I was suppose to have an interview today, but yesterday she called and had a funeral to go to and had to re-schedule...that's cool because I can prepare more, I guess. It's a phone interview...but none the less it is a crucial step in the process. I will need your prayers that the right decision will be made. It's a job that I would really want and could allow me and Lyd to start our family sooner. But it also means that it would draw me out of the Columbia area and into the Springfield area. There are some good congregations down there as well. It's just up here we're planning on starting a new congregation in Jeff city...it would be a bummer to walk out on it. And thus the dilemma.
I now leave you with some pictures from the "hog-roast" party at the Kinser's.

the "hog-fest" celebration occurs anually up here. some of the local guys stay up all night and roast a whole pig over a pit.
Here's Matt swatting the birdie in badminton.

And Adam doing one of his many crazy dances, while getting his mortars ready. He is also one of the hog roasters.

Reggie, Matt, Dave, and Bart's foot. (Matt and Dave gladly dedicated their night to roasting the hog.)

| Okay, where do I begin. Much has happened since my last post. So i'll try and just mention the "highlights" if you will.
I marked a couple things off the old to do list. 1) I finished the brick landscaping in the front (I'll try and get some pics of that) and 2) I finally took the time to cut out the wood for some chairs Lydia's gonna re-upholster....hehe the balls in her court now...no longer can she blame me for not cutting them out.
I realize in a lot of ways i'm just like my dad. I catch myself doing things like he does. Like making loud yawning noises in the morning. Or running my hand over my face in the same way he does. And then of course there's Lyd's favorite "Melvinism" the starting jobs and not finishing them. Like with the brick landscaping, I should have been done before winter but I just procrastinated. It reminded me of a time a few years back when I still lived in Joplin, dad was going to change the tub out So he bought a brand new tub and it sat out on the deck. And it sat there for about 3 years, in fact I think it's still there right now. Only now if you look inside it's got all kinds of cool algae and mold growth on it. But come to find out the reason he hadn't put it in was because it wouldn't fit thru the bathroom door...we would have had to take a wall out. So I can't really blame him for putting that one off. Good times!!
Well I heard yesterday on the news that the MOST IRRITATING MOVIE CHARACTER of all time was JAR JAR BINKS. I grinned a little when I heard this. I totally agree with that, yet somehow, Jar Jar and his "unique ways" holds a special place in my heart. The Ace Ventura character was like 3rd or 4th on the list. Well, Mee-Sa done with my post.
| Where do I start?? It's been a good week so far. Last week Randy, Cynthia, and Matt got to visit us. It was very nice to see them....It's almost like they're family. Nah, but I enjoyed hanging out with them. We all played Balderdash. You might think, blah, it's a game of definitions and dates. But it's more. So much more!! It's about creativity and being able to make up what you don't know....[FLASHBACK] Back in Joplin, I use to play Balderdash with my cuz'n Jason and Shelly, and Brothers. It was always funny because of my brothers. See Matt is a the logical-doctor and Marshall is the history kinda guy. So it was always a good match up. You'd think that the doctor would always win, but typically the book smartest person would lose...it's like he tried too hard. Anyway, the Tidmores made the game entertaining. Example: the word Elmo Lincoln. What is he famous for? According to one player, he was famous for being Abraham's brother who wrote all of Abe's speeches. Or was he the inventor of the Lincoln logs? Well these are no doubt good answers (Cynthia and Lydia). But the real answer was he played the first tarzan. Kudo's to Jessica who won the game.
Well, my wife and I have been looking for some land with Grant and Tiffany Z. We hope to get some acreage sometime and split it with them and possibly Dave Cope. We're not in any big hurry though it's nice to aspire for something greater.
